You're mostly correct and all of us perfectly understand you, but you've missed the point of the thread. The point was to bitch about how, even though we feel sympathy for and generally accept illegal immigrants, they can still make our lives miserable at varying points. I doubt you'll get many people who disagree with what you said though.

And to be fair, I hear way more complaints about immigrants in Europe than I do in America. Probably because countries like England give their illegals the weirdest rights ever.

Illegal immigrants make up 30% of the Federal prison population...They all coe here to work-YEAH RIGHT!! Not a day goes by where there isnt a group of illegal immigrants committing violent crimes against the citizenry of the USA. Thats a fact.

The fact that BOTH major political parties do not want to deal with the problem shows te utter comtempt they have for the electorate.

I can definitely see Strcube shouting "la luche continua" behind his gated community if he had the resources..........

What do you lot think would happen should a farang commit a violent crime against a Thai in thailand??? Theres only ONE answer to that question.

First of all, I work in the courts so I see the worst of the worst, and I can tell you that most of the undocumented are in the system for relatively minor stupid shit, DUIs, drugs, probation violations, traffic offenses, etc. Most of these people are really just hapless, illiterate yokels.
There is no question that there are violent immigrants out there, but they are not reflective of the majority.
That said, it doesn't mean that they do not, as group, have a negative impact, at least in my estimation.

You know, I hadn't thought of it, but if I wanted to, I could live in a gated community.
My comment about "La lucha continua" was about my struggle to get out of what I'm doing and find something else.

Lemme try and break this down for you.

Illegal immigrants in this country are here because business requires an exploitable, docile and compliant labor force. Also, the largely privatized, prison industrial complex requires that same underclass to keep the system going and profits flowing, in the form of PUBLIC money to the owners of private prisons and the companies who use prison/slave labor.
These same immigrants are also useful to distract the white working class from the real cause of their own economic troubles--the total ass-rape of society by a rapacious investment class run amok.
Yes, this is a classic Marxist analysis.

My point, in the original post, was that even having an understanding of all that, I still do not want "them" here and this makes me feel horrible.

I think what you have is a clear case of "realism" as opposed to the inherent quality we have of "anti racism"........

Working in the middle east opened my eyes to just how things are....salaries are paid according to nationality and at the end of the day....you have no rights here...when you have completed your contractual requirement you get to go home to your own country........fair enough.........

Everyone is a winner and you are not a drain on your parent or temporary countries resources....done deal.
