Windows only! Booked in advance usually at the rear where the seats go to two. On landing there is no need to panic to get out first. I can wait, and walk past most that do. I can lean/sleep on the window, take photos and control the window shade. Also nobody tips hot food/drink on you as they lean over three seats. If the flight is very turbulent nothing can fall out of the overhead locker onto your head, arms, body etc. You can only have one person poking into your space. Same as Tomcat. NOBODY takes my booked, and boarding pass issued window seat. Being not so short I can easily get over anyone to get out, without having them get up. If your in MY window seat you are moving..... Period!!!!

i prefer window because u dont have people trying to get passed you for the toilet etc.
It can become really irratating when yer nodding off
Also u can rest yer pillow against the window wall and nod off.

When I was younger it was window but I think there was more leg room on the airplanes back then. I like the aisle now so I can stretch my legs and occassionally trip anyone walking down the aisle.

Aisle - prefeferably so that I can stretch my right leg out and also so I can get up and walk around.

Also it's easier to get the booze refilled!

(BigTel @ Aug. 03 2009,10:38) Aisle for me, easy to get up to stretch the legs and for the toilet.

Same same Aisle always, and its easier to "eye up" the Stewardess's

28C and 24C seats already pre-booked for outward and return Flights from Manchester to Bangkok (via Abu Dhabi) with Etihad in December

Window or two, please. I want to see what's out there. Love passing over Japan at night and seeing the city lights illuminate the darkness, crossing the Vietnam beaches in the morning, looking down on Tonle Sap or Angkor rising out of the jungle mist. And the first sighting of Suvanabhumi in the distance always produces instant morning wood in anticipation of finally reaching LOS.    Hey, is that Guess bar I see down there?

Aisle for me all the time. Hate crawling over other people when I want to piss. One thing I do hate is with priority seating due to mileage club I am often hit by people that can't take their fucking backpacks off when the walk down the aisle. Now when one hits me I shove it back real nasty to make a point CONTROL YOUR SHIT!!!

Also, aisle seats let me get up and go back and talk to the flight attendants easier and scope them out when they are not doing much...hehe...have some interesting chats with them.

Cannot for the forseeable future afford biz or first so always an aisle seat! Being over six foot it makes life a little more bearable on a long haul flight! Always been lucky on long haul with exit seats and having a row too myself!
i'm going where the sun keeps shining.................

I always go centre aisle. I'm talking medium to long haul here.

The guy next to me has 2 options. Crawl over me or crawl over the next person to go to the loo or stretch his legs. Not the case in the window aisle scenario. After I establish our 'relationship' very early on, he usually goes the other way   As naja Tom noted, this also means I can get up and go whenever I please.

If I want to see the clouds or green fields below, I can always find a spot somewhere else for a few minutes.

Living like this, on medium or short haul flights I see little advantage in Business or 1st Class.

In my younger days, I preferred a window seat, but now I am at the half century mark an aisle seat for long haul flights is my choice. Not only can I get up without crawling over someone, but it is faster and easier to get my overhead luggage for deplaning on arrival.

Here is a good site to help you select a seat when you've booked your ticket: Seat Guru. It lists the major airlines, plus the various models of aircraft they use. Just check your itinerary - it should indicate what type of aircraft you will be scheduled to fly on. Look it up on seat guru and then request a seat. On Air Canada their 777s row 18 have almost as much leg room as business class.

SD, you think this poll is more stupid than many of your posts?
