Not that I care that much, but since you took the trouble I'll take the Aussie Cadell Evans. Had a good run last year, maybe ready to take it out this year. Go Aussie.

I think Lance will pull through and win again.

The guy is amazing 40 drug tests since he announced his comeback last year. Lying in 3rd place - ready to strike....

I would love Armstrong to pull through and take it.... Contador is a great attacker on the steeper climbs but as they entre the Alps the gradiant is more in Lance's favour..

Cadel Evans is too far back now and wont make the time up.... shame though as he's one of the best....

                      Hi KL,

I do agree with you that guy is amazing (whether you like him or not).

It is obvious that most of them use dope. Needless to say Armstrong is one of them: in 2006 a frecnh analysis laboratory revealed Armstrong used EPO to win le Tour De France in 2000 or 2001. At that time, they hadn't the suitable material to find that kind of EPO.
As you know Americans have always had the lead concerning doping. Nowadays, they still have a considerable lead.

My guess would be Armstrong is using the latest generation of EPO among other products...Even synthetic blood; Here it's all about state of the art, high technology. Just my impression.

By the way, i also voted Bernard Hinault

Contador, he is most allround. In the alps he will win time on Armstrong and
Evans. Plus he is strongly motivated by the way Armstrong (his team mate) acts and talks about him.

After a lot of boring racing with all the big names nestled in the peloton the showdown finally happened. First real mountain stage in the alps and Armstrong got smoked. 8 riders beat him up the last climb and he couldn't respond. Contador again proved he is the man to beat by placing first all alone yielding a nice lead overall.  Contador looks unbeatable. I am an Armstrong fan, but he looks finished. It looks doubtful Armstrong can hang on to a podium position as he lost a chunk of time to riders close to him. More mountains to come. We'll see.

                          3. WIGGINS +1:46
                          4. KLÖDEN +2:17

could a bicycle fan please explain to me their fascination with that sport?
To me, it is more boring to watch than golf.

It's not a sport. How can it be a sport with no ball (or puck)?
