(Road Runner @ Jun. 28 2009,15:21) He could tinkle the ivories
Hang on the comment made was that he was the greatest musician of our time. Even i can play chopsticks...The great musicians are guys like Rick Wakeman or John Willams. Not this circus clown.

Now they are going to have public memorial etc etc. Fuck me i must avoid the newpapers stands for at at least a month.

        a good day

So MJ kicking off overshadowed Farrahs big day, and now she barely gets a mention. Its all about MJ......Thing is, when Farrah died and got to the golden gates she was told to come on in, and since she was now an angel she could have any wish she diesired. She stated, she wished that all the little kiddies could be safe in the world, and her wish was granted........Poof MJ kicks right afterward. I personally could not stomach the "thing" myself.

I really don't know one song of his I liked through his whole career. I was sick of him when the radio and MTV pounded him down our throats. Good dancer? I guess but I have no appreciation for any dancer unless its a stripper or a ladyboy on a pole. Mine preferably.

                          MJ dead... meh.

On the one hand, he was probably one of the most famous people on the planet, on the other hand, he was probably just as famous for his tabloid eccentricities as his music.

Think about that for a minute. He had the biggest selling album ever, dozens of Top-10 singles, his dance and style influenced a generation of artists, and his videos practically defined the medium for 10+ years.

So just how big of a freakish lunatic would someone have to be to overshadow all of that?!? Seriously, I know we're not supposed to speak ill of the dead, but how can you talk about MJ and not talk about all the surgeries, drugs, skin whitening, questionable parenting, outrageous spending & debt, and of course, the pedophilia?

He's at least as famous (or infamous) for that stuff as he is for his music, which is a rather sad thing. So many of us have good memories associated with his songs, and there's no question that he was a gifted performer. So it seems to me to be a real shame that he couldn't have found a more graceful way to exit the stage and live a quiet life in peace. You know, like Gary Glitter...

I know TC I was just answering your question about which instraments he could play.

The debate about who is the best musician could run and run  -  it's so subjective and do we stick just to Western music or include everything else?

I'm not a fan of his  -  I have none of his music on CD despite having a fairly wide and peculiar taste in music.

I do think he had a good voice though and a highly original creative talent.
His Thriller album does rank as one of the greatest of all time in Western pop music and I think rightly.

                            Am I sorry he's gone?   No I can't say I am.

he was no James Brown or Marvin Gaye..

thriller is mostly down to Quincy Jones's production....

And the word is now out that he never fathered any of those children. The Rowe bitch was also a surrogate and she was done invitro and the thrid unknown was done the same way without the married fan fare Rowe created. The children wore veils to hide the fact they were caucasion and not black. Chances are MJ probably could not even get his dick hard.
