That's what happens to some degree but then a week will come around where a big favorite was already taken by one guy and not the other.

Sometimes if there's just a couple guys left they agree to split the money in one case I split a $3300 pot.   But what am I going to do with half a Guess bar T-shirt?    

As in most pools one has an advantage if they can differentiate themselves from the pack.  But this involves risking an early exit.

One strategy is to keep beating up on a hopeless team picking their opponent every week.
