Love how you try to tie in a song thats appropriate. it may date you a little, but much appreciated from another bloke from the 70's

Now that is a female artist songwriter that was more than just a pretty face or hot body. she had both for sure. Often made fun of for her oversized smile and huge (natural lips) but she could do it all, piano, guitar, or just sing songs she wrote.

It was said at one time she wrote this song about Warren Beatty who jilted her, but in fact it wasn't about anyone in particular as it started out as another song then evolved to what it is now. she has to be about 60+ but still is bangable. At least by me and I'm probaly 15 to 20 years younger. I guess Im not so vain.

Actually the song does not date me.
Because a video for this song, went into "heavy rotation" on one of the major music channels, year 1986 or '87.

So, I was 3 years old when I got hooked on television and ladyboy porn.
So that makes me about 26 years old.
If I was 3 years old ...

However, my posting of Vera Lynn's version of "White Cliffs of Dover", on a different thread,

At the official 50th anniversary for the end of World War II, an 88yo Dame Vera Lynn sang several of the songs that had sustained the troops during those dark days.

She was obviously exhausted by the effort, but the sight of all the old people crying when she sang "White Cliffs of Dover" is an image that I will never forget...
