Nicole Kidman to play transsexual

Unfortunately it would probably be a lot harder to get the film financed. With a big name like Kidman attached they will be able to get more money.

I had mixed feelings when I watched Transamerica for this reason. Sort of defeats the purpose of exploring transsexual issues when the have a woman in the main role.

Has anyone seen The Amazing Truth About Queen Raquela? I don't think it has had mainstream release but it has done the rounds of some film festivals. Always the trouble with independent films.
