BTW, I voted that things will stay the same. The US government is too tied to wall street to take any big chances with money or initiatives. If anyone thinks they're getting free health care within the next four years, they are in for a big surprise.Comment

I was discussing the win in school yesterday where I work and I was telling the other teachers that I was personally delighted in the win. I think he will bring a great and new change to the White House.
But on the other side, I do worry about his being expected to make an immediate change. The people of the USA want change.....YESTERDAY and this repair will take time and when you read the critics comments about the possible new administration, this is going to be a slow fix and whether he's there for 4 years or 8 years, they will be talking about what "didn't" get done at the end of his term. One writer I read this morning was comparing the Bush to Obama change to the Herbert Hoover to F.D.R. change. No United States President ever did everything they set out to do.
On a personal note, if I was Obama I'd be thinking, "the US Secret Service better be prepared and on their toes" because I personally think that every redneck with a white hood is going to be gunning for him. The KKK is alive and well in the south and I am convinced someone will try and take a shot at him, especially considering he's the first black president. I know somewhere in the south, someone right now is thinking about being the savior for the KKK. They idea makes me sick too!
Bush and Chaney should be giving the Secret Service bonuses when they leave office because the fact the never had an assassination attempts is a miracle. it only goes to show that the United States Secret Service is a good protection service.
I'm sure Bush knows he has screwed up royally and personally I don't think Chaney cares either way if he did or not. Chaney I think was always in it for the money, plain and simple.
But I suspect we will hear that Bush is back drinking again and that things in the Bush household are not all wonderful and rosie. I would hate to be his kids or his wife and have to endure all the negatives they have to deal with. You can just hear "Your husband/father is an idiot" so many times before you say ENOUGH ALREADY!
I think we are in for changes ahead, subtle ones mind you, but changes just the same. I'm convinced Obama will do a good job and that like Laura Bush (poor woman), Michelle Obama will bring class and dignity to the White House.
