Tex Perkins & His Ladyboyz

Tex Perkins was the lead singer with the Beasts of Bourbon, and The Cruel Sea, and has recorded some excellent solo albums & collaborations in the past.

This apparently is not one of them !

Hopefully some of you will find it mildly amusing.

He's performing with the "ladyboyz" this Sunday 26th October 2008 at Melbourne's Crown Casino.

The credit crunch has really bit in if  Casinos are wheeling out crooners of this lowly caliber. Is this a proper Casino or a backstreet roguehouse

Sorry TC but I have to disagree. I don't like all the stuff Tex has done but some of it is really good. Especially with the Cruel Sea (The Honeymoon is Over is a classic) and his solo album Dark Horses is great also (really mellow and moody).

I haven't heard anything from the new album so I can't comment on that.

I could understand you not liking the Beast of Bourbon as they are a bit heavier. I would be interested to hear what you do like.

I think you may have missed the point TC.

The whole concept is basically a "piss take".

Tex Perkins and the members of his band are all very accomplished musicians who have been associated with some brilliant bands in the past.

I'll hand over to Frank Zappa for the final word on this....
