I thought Lazenby was very underated in OHMSS. Given time i think he would have been good. After Moore's years of humerous Bond, i thought Dalton was a good choice. Brosnan was bland, he relied on too many ott gadgets. Daniel craig could be the one, but early days. That leaves the one and only Sean Connery, the original and best Goldfinger my favourite Bond film.

I think it may really depend on when you first started watching Bond movies. For me, Connery is in the "old" movies, and they seem less interesting to me. If you started watching Bond movies when he was in them, he may have defined the role for you. For me, they're all fluff, and Connery is just old fluff.

Cannot agree more POL.. I read all the Bond books as a junior and saw Bond as a very dark and damaged individual... Connery was my favourite for years but I think Craig had it nailed, this time at least...(post-op lover @ Oct. 07 2008,23:11) I think it may really depend on when you first started watching Bond movies.
