Who is the best James Bond actor?

I like Moore, he had humor and was a ladies man, but bit softy though. Connery was bad ass. Dalton sucked, tried to be Shakespeare

Actually, I like Brosnan the best, he had nice combination of tradional Bond style and modern Bond interpretation.

Brosnan for me too, though i did enjoy the 2 Timothy Dalton Bond films, especially "The Living Daylights".

Need more time on Daniel Craig, though i think he could be good.

Connery is "The Man".Brosnan did a very good job and Craig is certainly shaping up as a tough, no frills, not to many stupid gadgets Bond.

Sean Connery was probably the nearest to the Bond in the books. Daniel Craig appears to be going back to that kind of Bond.

Based on the potential from the first and shorts i've seen from the second bond.

By the way, David Niven was missed from the list.

I was worried that Craig was not the right man, but after seeing Layer Cake - i knew he could pull it off.

Connery and Craig, I think Craig will be a great Bond but too early to call him best yet so I voted Connery.

You missed off David Niven

I liked Brosnan and felt he had a few more Bond movies left in him however, Connery was my favourite.

I could not stand Timothy Dalton, especially as he refused to do sex scenes

Connery - the best and the original.
Craig's initial appearance was great and back to the original with less gimicks.
Lazenby - hopeless
Moore - playing Roger Moore - tried to be too smooth
Brosnan & Dalton - also rans
David Niven - cameo role and amusing but limited appeal.

I saw Dr No in 1963 - how many years did Connery cover. Russia with Love - I always wanted the DB6. I could have disposed of my ex-wife with the ejector seat..

Thought John Cleese as Q was good entertainment
