Experienced 'One on one' teachers in the corproate world in Thailand are making 1,500 an hour.
I used to make 1,200 plus travel and expenses working for Nike and over 800 baht an hour plus travel working for Unacol and Tilleke & Gibbons.
I could make 800 an hour easily working companies like Johnson & Johnson, Shearing, Kawasaki and may others.
Companies actually charge a lot more so I was a bargain for them.
Plus small custom classes at companies can easily net you 1,000 an hour...
Having said that you have to be very good - have loads of time to prepare classes and design courses. You have to want to do it... it's very hard to captivate a class for 90 minutes or 2 hours if you don't want to be there.
Even regular teachers with no experience teaching kids in a school can be making easily more than 12 bucks an hour.
If you are a woman you can make even more. Women teaching at schools are very sought after.
If Korea is paying 40 bucks for corporate teachers then you are being short changed. That's about 1,300 baht an hour and it's a damn sight more expensive there than it is in Thailand.
