I am lucky enough to have a Star Alliance Gold card (frequent flyer program), so I can use the Business Class lounge - very nice in there, free wifi internet, drinks, food, newspapers, magazines. No problem for waiting!

I enjoyed a nice selection of Sushi & Sashimi whilst waiting for a flight earlier this week at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport .

It seemed to take forever for the chef to prepare, so certainly killed some time !

      Cheers

Going home from Bangkok you can get a 600 baht/hour massage.

In Singapore there is free internet. And I think a gym that's cheap. And rooms where u can crash at a reasonable rate.

In Taipei there are free showers where you can jerk off. In Tokyo showers and rooms at a reasonable rate.

In other places bring a book that's an easy read.

Sudoku is a wonderful time killer at airports. Together with a brandy in one of the flight lounges.

Perfectly stated sir! I totally agree.

I also stay awake the entire night before I leave which is usually a 6am flight, so I am like a zombie on the return trip.
