I like Futurama even better than the Simpsons.

It's as good as the Simpsons at it's observation of people but has just an extra edge of cynicism and black humour.

I watched the Simpsons movie with a ladyboy one time , she'd never seen the show before but loved the movie .

Afterwards she kept singing .... spiderpig , spiderpig all the way home and pissing herself laughing , ah Its great to be able to communicate on the same level sometimes

I never managed to get my Ex to watch the Simpsons. Somehow it never quite clicked with her.

By then she had already seen Wallace and Gromit in The Curse Of The Wererabbit without subtitles.
She did understand at least 70% of the jokes - it was just the more obscure ones she missed.
