Dealing with dickheads

I seem to have a knack for leaving before shit gets violent. I hate violence and drama so if I sense that things are starting to go wrong I leave. If people are annoying me or if the vibe is not to my liking I leave. Simple.  
I'm not one of those people who get all belligerent when they drink, and I tend not to drink to excess, especially when I'm out. Besides, I can't even remember the last time somebody got all in my face.
I'm not a super big guy, but at 6ft., 190lbs, I'm not small either. I'm reasonably fit, and if I had to I have no doubt that I could defend myself or my friends if push came to shove.

Well, unlike you and Pacman, I personally don't find much humor in violence...

absolutely none if you are on the receiving end of it but I agree with orgasmaddict that much black humour revolves around it.

However this completely misses the point of my post, not for a second did I suggest that seanbeag would wish to deliver violence on kahuna.
I read his self-description & had a vision of Sean approaching kahuna in the Guess Bar to sit next to him.

The inference that kahuna would invite him to sit down, that he would choose him for company or that he would be beaten up if he didn't is in the interpretation of the reader.

It says much about cultural differences & what we find to be funny.

And for kahuna's information, I personally informed seanbeag that he had really upset the wrong BM with "that" article.

That the two of them may never finish up to be drinking buddies bothers me little,
that there is an inference that I would be amused to see one attack the other bothers me a lot.

I will not display violence in a public place. but I will intsegate and bring it to a head and wait until the fucker walks outside.

Kahuna, i don't kick the crap out of people that don't drink with me, i just make of showing them up that's all, and believe me nobody likes being shown up for being a bad sport and friend.

I don't get angry anymore as i find little point in losing face with someone who is just a spoilt bastard who because of some shite he read on a forum would want to carry it on to meeting the person for real, it really is no point at all.

i have one golden rule and it's a simple one " what is written on the forum, stays on the forum".

Being quite a small chap violence would never be an option.

Dickheads, especially when inebriated, can usual be dealt with using a swift intellect. If they are too stupid even to understand the piss is being ripped out of them then it's even more entertaining.

Though I also heed this advice, Never argue with an idiot. They will only pull you down to their level, then beat you with experience. A quote oft attributed to Mark Twain, though this is the cause of much conjecture.

If things start looking ugly a swift exit is the order of the day.
