MAC software at Panthip Plaza ...

Hi Guys,

haven't been to Panthip Plaza in a while and even then, it was to buy PC stuff.

Do they sell Apple Mac software there too? I assume they do but not sure. How easy is it to get - would I need to check with a number of vendors to find it?

I'm gonna pick up a macbook and would like to get my hands on Parallels or VMWare Fusion and a copy of XP (maybe Office for Mac too)  so I can still use those Windows apps that I can't get for my Mac (but don't wanna spend a fortune either .. the laptop itself is expensive enough!)

Yes, they have the "copy" Mac software, but you have to check around - not all the "copy" shops carry it. There is also an original Mac shop in Pantip, should you want the genuine article.

p.s. I just found a store here that stocks Rolos!! (I'll have to try and hide them from curry hair as she has apparently developed quite a liking for rolos - you have only yourself to blame!)

genuine software is good but genuine prices aren't

But I have found Fortune Town IT MALL to be better for Mac Stuff
Better selection, less chance of a bad disk

Fortune Town is a big shopping complex on Ratchada Road.
They have a 2 floor IT Mall and one floor for Mobile Phones. I find it a lot more civilized then Panthip. The one thing they do not sell is porn, for that go to Panthip. Otherwise its the same shops.


Take the Subway to the Param 9 station, two stations North from Sukhemvit/Asoke station, there will be an exit that takes you directly to Fortune Town.

After living in China I'm kind of used to places like Panthip ... but civilised does sound nice
