still OKR not many new irish there but still huge 2nd generation community


i went to a southwark council cultural festival in burgess park a few years back.... park between OKR and Walworth rd....

It was fucking hilarious.... huge colombian community and they had a stage with a latino band and some salsa dancers... everyone dancing under the hot sun having a fuckin ball

two stages given over to the irish commiunity... now of course it is july but we feel we need a tent... a big fucking tent but a tent none the less... i guess in case it rains.

it was fuckin baking outside (30 degrees) inside the tents much worse... like fucking ovens and the entertainment? one is a daniel o'donnell tribute band and the other some young girls doing irish dancing.... well im sorry i am dead proud of being irish but i was outside in the sun dancing and drinking with the latinos....
