    Camera Repair in pattaya

I have a canon SD 50 i bought in japan.. i know its not under warranty but i took it out one night and forgot i had it in my back pocket and sat down and broke the lcd screen. I also lost the charger, anyone know where I can replace the charger and maybe get it repaired.. I thought i seen a canon shop around pattaya klang or sukhumvit in that area.

If anyone can give me any info id appreciate it, and also would like to share pics sometime in the future here.

      Chonburi service centers...

You may get lucky with some of these numbers but I doubt it.

You are better off going to the IT center and asking around or going to Bangkok!

Took mine into the Big Camera shop in TukCom. Turned it around in about 2 weeks.

There is a camera shop opposite soi 8 and 7 on second road. Not sure the name, but its the only one there. They do repairs and are cheaper than the place in the basement of Tukcom. New screen will probabley coast between 3000 - 4000 baht. Gotta weigh that against a new camera.

Canon have a full service centre in Bangkok tel 023449999.

They provide the most efficient service that I have ever seen in Thailand. Repairs are done on site.

Its no more than a 70 Bt from Nana. I forget the address. I usually phone the number and then hand the phone to the taxi driver and he gets perfect directions from the receptionist and then were off. The building is a tall and clad in black glass.
The service centre is on the 10th floor - I think - but it says where in the lift.

Go in side and queue at any of the computer terminals. Normally no queue. The girl will take the item for repair and log it into computer. Up will come a history of the item including where it was bought.

Hand over the item in exchange for a detailed receipt. A couple of days later you will recieve a call telling you how much for the repair and how long to do it. They ask you if you wish them to proceed. If you say yes you will get a confirmation SMS. The same process is repeated when the repair is completed.

They do not seem to be expensive at all but it must depend on the parts.

Amazing customer care - worth the trip just to see that.
