I find that most things that pissed me off in the past, now just make me laugh...

But I will remember some of these piss off's in the event that I do want to piss someone else off...

We are all prejudiced and racist and phobic about a lot of things.

It's natural and it's healthy.

What is NOT natural and healthy is the attempts that governments make trying to legislate against instinctive behaviour just to conform to an unrealistic view.

It's counter productive and backfires...

Just look at downtown Bangkok... every color and creed and race mixing it up in close quarters and there has never in all the years I've lived here been one act of violence that was racially or otherwise motivated.

People can get on quite well enough without being ordered to by idiot social engineers.

Social engineering is a scary thing. Every where you go in OZ, there are signs.

Stogie is right, in a weird sort of way Thailand works ok. I feel safer and more comfortable with my lot in life in Thailand then i do in OZ. But saying that i will proably always live in OZ most of the time.

While visiting Thailand over the many years, I have noticed that the vast majority of high profile people featured in television, movies and politics are of the non Issan/white skin variety.
Also, pick up any magazine featuring social events in Bangkok and virtually all of the assembly appear to be of Thai/Chinese extraction with only the odd dark skin in attendance.
I wouldn't say it pisses me off, just an obsevation on this racism narrative
A notable exception to this is of course the current Prime Minister
