Final Four (the end of march madness)

"march madness" comes to an end the first week of april, viewable in the LOS on ESPN4. so far the best viewing spot i've found here in pattaya is shenanigan's. a bit upscale from my usual LB haunts , but they're guaranteed to have the game on as many screens as necessary, the air-con works and the food is good. and at 7:30am - they'll be OPEN.

i'll be the guy rooting for the heels. probably the only guy. come join in the shouting. c u there.

Big crowd of us in last week TBound for the Chicken Fajitas night...Stogies favourite food. Nice place .. nice and airy...

The championship game is Tuesday morning in the LOS (Monday night in   )

So it seems they're showing the two semi final games too! (Sunday morning in Thailand; Saturday night in the USA)

What is 'March Madness'?

  The    college basketball championship.

First two weekends of the 65 team tournamnet are in March, hence the phrase March Madness.

The final four is in April. though.

It's a big deal; office pools everywhere.

Btw Stewart, TB mentions the "heels" in his post.   Not refering to guys who butterfly around on their ladyboys but rather the North Carolina Tar Heels.

being that the north carolina state nickname 'tarheel' was earned by a troop of american revolutionary fighters in the 1770's who refused to retreat in the face of a much larger british force, as though their "heels" were stuck in the "tar" abundant in their local area, i would think 'tarheel' may well be the exact opposite of 'butterfly'
a conundrum i have no intention of resolving by tying back my own wings, i promise you.
