Robbery Nets Thieves up to 50,000 Baht.

On Wednesday evening police from Pattaya Soi 9 station were called to the front of a restaurant on Third Road where a 33-year-old Thai lady showed them her vehicle and the front driver€™s side window which thieves had apparently broken.
The lady explained that she had left her handbag on the front seat of the car while she went into the restaurant to have dinner with her family. When she returned to her car she saw the broken window and noted her handbag was missing. The lady told police the bag contained credit cards, an ATM card and a jackpot for the enterprising thieves in the shape of 50,000 baht in cash.
When police asked why she would leave a bag with so much money lying on the front seat of a car she explained that this is Thailand, not some foreign nation full of opportunistic thieves.

    She's lying. I don't know why but she's lying.

My guess is that there wasn't nearly that amount of money in the bag and she paid someone to 'break into' her car and staged this robbery because she needed to buy time for a debt of some kind.

No way even an idiot leaves 50K on the front seat and even if they did - what are the odds that some thieves happened by that car at that particular time?

    She's full of shit.

      She's absolutely lying.

Even Homer Simpson would know you don't leave cash in a bag that's laying in full view in LOS.

There's been a theft alright, she owes her boyfriend/family/boss 50k & this is the way she breaks it to them that it's gone.

Her problem is that in Thailand she thinks they are going to buy it.

Not much chance of that I'm afraid. Good luck to you my dear, you are going to need it.

A couple of years ago there was a news story about a guy who withdrew B4mil from the bank for a condo sale. Apparently, he placed the cash in the basket at the front of his bike while he went to a disco with his bird. It was gone when he came out, so either he was lying or he was a complete fucking idiot! Given some of the types that grace these fair shores nowadays, I am inclined to believe the latter........
