Robbery Nets Thieves up to 50,000 Baht.
On Wednesday evening police from Pattaya Soi 9 station were called to the front of a restaurant on Third Road where a 33-year-old Thai lady showed them her vehicle and the front driver€™s side window which thieves had apparently broken.
The lady explained that she had left her handbag on the front seat of the car while she went into the restaurant to have dinner with her family. When she returned to her car she saw the broken window and noted her handbag was missing. The lady told police the bag contained credit cards, an ATM card and a jackpot for the enterprising thieves in the shape of 50,000 baht in cash.
When police asked why she would leave a bag with so much money lying on the front seat of a car she explained that this is Thailand, not some foreign nation full of opportunistic thieves.
okay...never in honest Thailand...
