  • Goodbye America...

Say 'Hello!' to India and China, folks!

In three years the USA will be a flat dead and decayed (beyond salvation) economy.

What's more it'll drag the UK down with it...

Out of a sense of loyalty the dullard unimaginative dominoes of Europe will follow suit and the great Olympic dream of China and world domination will fall into place.

And good luck to them... They wanted it the most and they were patient enough to watch the USA fuck up every step of the way...

    My money is in Rupees!

You know, there are plenty of remedies on the market for panic attacks. True, an Indian was briefly the world's richest man, and in 3 years, India will definitely be better than it is now. However, China has a long way to go. The Chinese government cannot even decide if they want couples to have a lot of children or none at all and they even screwed up putting too much focus on aborting female children. Now Chinese men cannot find Chinese women to marry.

I have made a stack out of Australian dollars . The Aussie is around 93/4 cents per yank dollar. This time around 2 years ago it was 58 cents.

Most economists agree that for a Western economy the Australian is one of the safest and secure in the World.

You can do worse then investing in Austraian shares.

Heres a Ā few sure fire winners for those who want steady, safe and good returns.

      Woolworths
      Wesfarmers
      Maquarie Bank

I hate spending my time contradicting you but unless you bought your Wesfarmers and Woolworths more than three years ago you didn't make 17% out of them today.

If you were lucky enough to pick the bottom in Macquarie you could have picked up 13% today but the other two stocks are only around 5-6% off their three year lows today.

Add holding costs and you're losing money on both unless you bought yesterday.

From What i can see about one third of London already looks like India so these guys have a head start.

The US has already dragged the UK into what will be a recession and i suppose about a 5% chance of depression. The UK relies on the City of London as its engine and if thats fucked god help us...

Anyone who believes the massive lies the Government are telling folk needs a lobotomy. Like Inflation is only 2.5% The Govt here lives in real cloud cuckoo land i can honestly say.

Well i didnt vote for them. Id bring back the poorhouses and treadmills if i had my way.....Laissez faire...

I'm not as certain about India as I am about China. Massive public debt in India and problems with caste system.

Think shear size working for it now but uncertain it will grow at same rate as China long term.

The looming disaster known as the UK economy has not been caused by the recession in the USA. Most of our problems are self inflicted with too much Government and personal debt. Add to this a Government living in cloud cuckoo land and you have a recipe for disaster.

Next year will see unemployment rapidly increasing as companies try to cope with rising costs. Organisations funded by the Government are already feeling the squeeze and are starting to cut jobs. The only part of the country immune from this will be London due to the investment in the 2012 Olympics.

The USA will bounce back next year. Their major industrial companies will benefit from the cheaper dollar.

As for China and India - they are rapidily developing from a low base but they have a long way to go before they rival the USA. The Chinese economy has only just overtaken the UK economy in terms of GDP and India is a smaller economy. After the Olympics there is bound to be a downturn in the Chinese economy.

My money for the future is on Brazil. There have been several recent oil and gas fields discovered. This will give them a big advantage over India and China when developing their economy.

For all the gloom and doom, America will be back to normal in 1-3 years ( with a weak dollar and inflation )
This is the same scale as the saving and loan disaster of the Reagen era, and no one even remembers that; And unlike Japan we will clean things up quickly, and not sweep it under the rug for 10 years.

(alan1chef @ Mar. 19 2008,08:04) in 3 years, India will definitely be better than it is now. However, China has a long way to go.
If the Chinese learned English the way the Indians do, THEY would be answering the phone when I call tech support at Visa and not some guy named Abraham Lincoln in Bangalore. The Chinese economy is booming and a thousand new cars are sold in Bejing alone every day, but the Indians have 'em beat in the tech sector and are churning out more and more computer scientist - geniuses every year [who end up working at AOL tech support for 5 bucks an hour- and loving it].

                          Great line here as usual, from TC;

''From What i can see about one third of London already looks like India so these guys have a head start.''

Classic.....from what I understand a lot of Paki's also, eh?? That's what happens when you own 1/2 the world, give 'em independence and say "Ok, now if ya wanna come and live in ol' Blighty come on over" LOL.

As for what Stogie brought up here at the start, I am afraid to even turn on the news these days or look at my portfolio, such as it is; condo value down 10% since purchase, all investments down across the board, a weakening dollar, sending more money than ever to Canada because their dollar is actually MORE than ours for the first time in 33 years, etc, etc...... everything here is bad and I keep saying "only 2 more years, only 2 more years" [to departure; for good].

The Bush backers or people who want McCain in there to carry on his "legacy" .... what planet are you living on?
Guilt is Gods way of telling you you're having too much fun.

ya, for you Euro's and Brits ....... but not for me, I just stopped for gas [also more than ever now] and some snacks and it cost 60 bucks.
