the only reason that Ferrari has a good time since Shumacher started driving for them is that Honda were giving them the information to do so. When Shumacher started driving for them some years ago the engine was basically a Honda with a prancing horse badge stuck on.
there's only one car out there that is wholely owned and built and that's the great Prancing Horse FERRARI.
It's great to see Kimi taking the mantle from the greatest F1 driver in history Schumacher.More polls, more wins, more points, more championships than any other driver in history.Sure there have been drivers like Senna but their temperament like Juan Pablo Montoya & the current sulkypuss Alonso would have deprived them of the consistency required to achieve the heights of Schumacher.
Long may they reign the circuits of the World.
Please dont compare Schumacher with Senna. Senna was far better and skillfull.Â
Senna had to race against many good drivers and no team orders . Also the tracks were made safer after his death and now its walk in the park compared to then....
anybody who can drive at around 300kph, still hold some track records, and has the record of Schumacher, whether you rate his aggressiveness as less than Senna, is still the greatest driver ever.Don't forget that those who drove in the Fangio era thought he was the greatest.
The statistics speak for themselves.
SENNA -1984-1994 SCHUMACHER - 1994-2006
161 starts 249 starts
3 championships 7 championships
41 wins 91 wins
80 podiums 154 podiums
614 points 1369 points
65 poles 68 poles
19 fastest laps 76 fastest laps
and the only driver in history,in 2002, to finish on the podium in every race of a season.
I have a lot of respect for Schumacher, but doesn't that last stat makes Senna look more impressive? Senna 19 fastest laps in 161 starts (12%). Schumacher 76 fastest laps in 249 starts (31%). That to me indicates Schumacher may have had the fastest car on the circuit more of his career than Senna did. That's the thing about F1, it is important to luck out and be in the fastest car rather than just be the fastest driver. But there is no getting away from Schumacher being a great driver and all his small untold accomplishments you won't find in a stats page were also very impressive. And I don't know how you could say Schumacher was not aggressive when in fact he was downright ruthless! That part made a lot of people hate him, but I admired him for it.
IMO Senna was far far superior to Schumacher because he wasnt a crybaby whinger and team orders were alien to him... as if he needed them..!
Schumacher only survived because of team orders and competition like that all time useless cunt Damon Hill....Plus the tracks were far safer when Shumacher won all of his titles.....plus the fact that i hate the ugly cunt and his half wit brother
F1 is far to safe now... a few deaths needed to spice it up a bit...make the tracks dangerous i say
By taking out the traction control they have made it more interesting..But there isn't any good drivers at the moment..
Wished Schume was stil in there..
