  • Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras

Tonight will be the 30th anniversary of the Sydney Mardi Gras. It has changed a fair bit over the years. It started in 1978 as a protest and rights march but has now essentially become a big pary night.
I don't think there is much exposure for the transgender community, obviously the main focus is on the gay and lesbian sides.

Anyone going or have been in the past?
I don't get it, is this a magic show?

a frind of mine was there a few years ago and saw a supposedly straight schoolfriend of ours dressed only in leather shorts and a dog collar, down on all fours being led around on a leash by his "master".

    Small world!
    No honey, no money!!

Yes ,a party for pickpockets and other undesirables no doubt just like Notting Hill and all these other crime orientated events..
