  • Prices of electronics in Singapore...

Can someone tell me if cellphones, laptops, cameras, clothes etc are cheaper are Singapore compared to Thailand.
And also where to go shopping, like Siam Paragon or Central world in Bkk.

    Thanks

I was in Singapore for 3 nights in December. Some electronic items are less in Singapore, laptops certainly, and perhaps some models of mobile phones. As for clothes, it depends on what you are looking for. Thailand has very inexpensive no name brand clothing - cheaper than Singapore, but if you are looking for the brand name label stuff, then Singapore is less expensive (less tax on Gucci, Chanel, Dior, etc.).

Digital cameras are also less expensive in Singapore.

The computer and electronics stuff you should head to Sim Lim Square/ Sim Lim Towers. It's very similar to Pantip and Platinum in BKK. Nearest MRT should be Bugis.

Clothes wise, you can pretty much just walk along the entire Orchard stretch. There are so many malls here. And all of them are pretty much the same. Japanese like to head to Takashimaya. There's also a Paragon in Singapore, right at the heart of Orchard. MRT, stop at Orchard and just follow the crowd. Wisma Atria, Far East, Heeren...

You can also take a MRT to Harbour Front and hit Vivo City.

Or a MRT to City Hall and check out Marina Square and Suntec City.

It's a busy city. Too many malls for my liking...
