Songs that cheer me up!

So - you're down in the dumps and the normal orgy of LB movies on AsianTS.com hasn't done the trick... How do you bounce out of that down box?

If I'm in a bit of a funk there are two (possibly more) songs that are bound to pull me out of it...

The first one that has me smiling every time I hear it is the theme to the Austin Powers movies. Just thinking about that geeky superspy flouncing around London in his flares and awful teeth gets me laughing!

The other song is by Mike Batt (of Wombles fame) called Summertime City. It was the theme song to a family variety show on Saturdays in the UK many, many years ago.

So...

Nostalgia corner.
A few months of visiting the UK SB & you have an attack of memory of a simpler time.
A similar thing happened to me, with the theme song of an afternoon kids show on at 5pm when I was small.

One stressful day, 40 years after I last watched it, the song popped into my head & I could remember every bloody word of it.

Can't even think what it was now, but I am still shocked how the brain works & drags this shit up at a time when you need to switch off.

But for anyone who gets down occasionally allow me to introduce you to the greatest musician who ever lived,
& is ever likely to - W. A. Mozart.      

Dead by 37 & yet he left behind the greatest music legacy of all time.
So many of his works are so wonderfully uplifting & enervating
that anyone who wants to calm stress levels & bring peace into their life,
I suggest a listen.

I have his cello & flute concerto given to me by a Classical DJ as "essential" to any music library. Captured within the first 5 seconds.

He wrote 100's of piano concertos, one of them, don't know the number, I have caught on the car radio several times over 20 years.
I won't even answer the phone while it is on, it is just miraculous.

It is sure to give the Wombles a run.
