Laptop AMD/Intel

The most reliable Computer I've ever had is the DeskTop I have now. Its a H.P. with the AMD Athlon chip.

I have two Laptops with the Intel Core Duo and another desktop with the Pentium III.

I personally think AMD Chips are Fantastic. I'm thinking about buying another Laptop but this next computer needs to be Cheap because of what I'm going to use it for.

Question;
Has anybody heard anything bad about the New AMD chips ?

But it work's great for what I need! It did cost
me 800 Euro though!

Well, no matter. My mom is here and she saw me Looking at this laptop. She saw the price and offered to buy it for me. I think I'll buy it because the $$$ is not coming out of my pocket.

Can't go wrong with Acer. I won't seriously consider another brand.

Anything more famous and the batteries blow up and anything less famous and it looks like shit!

They did not have anymore Acer/AMD in stock.
So I got this Dell AMD for only $50. more.

I do like the Built in camera function in the Monitor Hood.

Finally, 2gb ram memory. The only messed up thing about a new laptop is now I have to learn a New OS.
Windows Vista.

I went with the Dell only because of the Keyboard Button Action. A lot of the other Laptops have that sticky clicking noise when depressed. This Dell feels really smooth with no clicking. I'm wondering if the keys have spring loads around the plungers.

I checked my serial No. My battery is "Not" on the list of effected battery recall.

Still though, Kind of makes me wander .

Yeah, kind sucks Europe always have to pay way more than the States. I was considering buying a new Thinkpad and the US price was about $1200 for my configuration. The same configuration in Norway was about $3100. The Norwegian price includes 25% tax and a better warranty, but still it's way to big price difference.

When I was looking into buying this Thinkpad (X61s) it would be cheaper for me to fly Oslo-New York-Oslo to buy the laptop than to buy it in Norway.

Your laptop is probably just fine, but in my opinion Intel has the edge in the CPU market at the moment, both for laptops and desktop pc's.
