    From Pattaya Mail:

    WARNING!

It has come to our attention that certain unscrupulous web masters are stealing news and photos for display on their websites. Pattaya Mail Publishing Co.Ltd. own the copy rights to materials published in the Pattaya Mail newspaper and on our website. We will prosecute any offenders to the fullest extent of Thai and International Law.
What do they mean by 'stealing news'.

    Do they mean stealing articles?

    So, what can we do?

As far as I'm aware it's ok to publish an extract from an article and then attribute it and link to the source but not to publish the whole thing and pass it off as your own.
As long as it doesn't say "....cannot be reproduced in full or part" anywhere, of course.

Does anybody know the actual can do's and can't do's?

Wouldn't like to get SB into trouble now...

Ha.... I'm not really too concerned about a local rag in Pattaya.

If they publish it for free then it's fair game to be quoted anywhere on our forum.

Tossers! How can you exercise copyright on what happens in Pattaya!

Once its in public domain isn"t it open slather as long as the source is quoted?

You see stuff from other papers and news channels quoted all the time.
