I collect books. I have thousands. My house, my parents' house and my sister's house are full of them. I have no space left - am thinking of asking my lodger to move out.

If I had to choose between LBs and books ... the books would win!!!

I cannot go to sleep without reading for a while first. Many LBs in Thailand know me as the guy with the books - I usually carry one with me, even in LB bars.
I once went to La Bamba without one and three different LBs asked me where my book was.

I often read 3-4 books at the same time. I get really excited about new books coming out and often go nuts in bookstores and spend hundreds of euro at a time. I've probably spent the GDP of a small african country on books. I have several editions of some books - i.e. dulicates, they will be different re-issues though (different artwork etc)

I also collect chess sets from different countries (mainly Russian and various Asian countries) and computers/laptops

I collect dvd's of everything from war, sci-fi, thrillers,action and mostly world cinema. I have about 2000 so far but i have a bit to go too meet my quota of 8500 films.
