During the past 30 years Americans in general have been seriously dumbed-down by the USA educational system. This is one reason why the Bush Administration warmongers are getting away with their war crimes in Iraq. Below is a video tape showing a number of Americans being randomly interviewed on the street. They were asked, "In terms of the war on terrorism, which country should the USA invade next?" Their answers will astound you!

When I was a kid my family would vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC. every summer. Most of the Americans we encountered didn't know much about Canada if anything at all... they would ask us questions like "Don't you's all live in Igloos and speak French in Can-a-da" and other questions like how do we fend off Polar Bears!.

From an Ex-teacher enmeshed in the Thai education system I can tell you that Americans haven't got it too bad at all!

Here, 'learning by rote' is the norm. Imagination and initiative are stifled here.

It's easy to pick on the Americans for not knowing where The Gaza strip is or how many igloos there are in the Sahara! The US is such a vast and interesting country I question the actually necessity of knowing this stuff anyway.

I lived there for many many years and found (in general) the Americans to be a lot smarter than their own media often gives them credit for.

There are dummies in every country and I'm sure I could find examples of silliness on the internet from any (free) country.

Don't forget that we are one country away from learning Cantonese! We were one country away from learning Russian and before that German.

My own personal view is - if the whole of The Middle East and Arab countries (and may as well throw in the continent of Africa) disappeared tonight I wouldn't lose any sleep.

In fact; I'd sleep a lot more soundly in a safer, more peaceful and more prosperous earth!

as an american who has lived in the states for over fifty-eight years i can honestly say that most americans, considering the education that is available to us, can be incredibly stupid and embarrassing, one only needs to watch one episode of "jerry springer" to realize what some people call entertainment in this country, in saying this i have to say that the comments made by the people on this video would suggest that the question asked was slightly different than the one that was suggested "in reference to stopping terror, what country should the usa invade next", (my interpretation)
i could believe some of the comments but when the one guy said italy i said wait a minute , we may be dumb enough to elect a "bush" to be president but to invade italy, i can't think of anyone who may be in or out of an instutution that could say such a ridiculous thing

after watching the video i stand corrected, he did say "in terms of terrorism", i knew we were fucked up but i didn't think we were in that bad of shape, the only question i still have is that the person was doing the questions was not an american his accent gave that away and i would like to know how many people said that there should never be another invasion, in other word to take just the fools of this country and try and paint a picture that this is what all or even most americans think is not really an honest picture of the usa, what i will give the announcer credit for is that he was able to find some of the biggest idiots the u.s. has to offer

Indeed...Its all how the editor wants you to see it! Same goes with the news in every country of this world. Bad news make ratings go up, good news is usually stuck into places where it will fit into the brodcast... Anyway, I could very well go over to freakin England, Japan, Russia, Germany, etc. and pull the same exact stunt with the exact same results! This video proves nothing if you really think about it...
