Well, we are a day closer to the biggest dance in the world and it's a fair bet that the unlucky Aussies won't even book flights as they face a "group of death" with all their opponents rated in the top 20 of FIFAs finest including the number one seed (and the likely eventual winner) Brazil.

America have a real opportunity to proceed through the 'round robin' stages if they play their very best football and don't lose to Czekoslovakia.

England shouldn't have too much to worry about if they can hold off Sweden. (They haven't beaten Sweden for 37 years!)

I personally think that the USA rating of 8th in the world is a little high, but they are still in with a realistic shot at making the final cut.

If England don't win it this time around (and they won't because Germany will beat them in the semis on penalties!) then I don't think they ever will.

Congratulations to the Aussies for qualifying but that's as far as you go!

its ours coz theres a 6 in the year and we were 1st. out of the pot ,plus a piss easy group apart from the swedes, and probabley poland in round 2, then our arses will fall out against brazil in the semis   REMEMBER 66 AND ALL THAT BOLLOX!!

The Brazilian Coach reckons Englands group is the second hardest as he thinks Paraguay have a big chance. The Paraguay team has changed around since England beat them in the friendly and they have three very good players and the rest are decent. The Brazil coach reckons the Paraguay centre half is THE best in the world.

Remember the Paraguay had to play Brazil and Argentina to get 4th spot and they drew most of the games against the best two sides in world. All they need is a cunning plan to prevail in the group.

Compared to many sports footy is pretty tough as you can see from the frequent medical injuries sustained. At least the players dont get involved in the group shower sing song thing that the egg shaped ball crowd so love .

Actually England's group is pretty easy and Paraguay is not that hard to beat. England and Sweden will advance for sure.

The hardest group and already called group of death by critics is Argentina's group. I think Argentina been unlucky the last WC and this one as well! lol

i just had to confirm that it was a nightmare..we didnt qualify..but it will give me more time to check out the hos. i can be in berlin within 2hrs and it is said to be 30000 hos working during the championship, and i guess a few percentages of those are lbs and transexuals. so it can turn out to be a very good water closet after all..
