I was going to make my picks today, but really that is not too smart. I'm waiting until Satuday morning to see what the injury situation is with the four teams.

Hey Stogie... I think you have been away to long, remember football is not soccer. The Seahawks or the Bears will play the Colts in the superbowl!!!!

Going out on the limb and picking two underdogs:

                    Washington
                    Pittsburgh

EDIT IN: The Steelers are favored even though they're on the road.

                    and two favorites"

                    New England
                    New York      Go Giants!

                      Saturday January 7th

Washington Redskins at Tampa Bay Bucaneers

This is a replay of a week #10 match up that saw Chuckie call for a two point conversion for the win rather then the almost sure thing kick to send the game into OT.........and it worked!!!! In that game Chris Simms and Joey Galloway had great games as did Mark Brunell and Clinton Portis but this sent the Skins into a three game tailspin that made their playoff chances look rather weak.........until they put it all together to finish strong with a 4 game winning streak. Meanwhile Chuckie's Bucs have been up and down with Chris Simms in his first year as the #1 signal caller...........I think the old vets Brunell, Santanna Moss, and Clinton Portis will overcome the playoff rookies, Simms and Cadillac Williams in a tight one..........Skins Win

Jacksonville Jaguars at New England Patriots

Disregarding last weekend's lay down by the Pats to rest the starters this is a great matchup of two very hot teams, the Pats winning 6 of 7 and the Jags winning 8 of 9. Leftwich is healthy(?) but I'm thinking Del Rio should stick with who got him there, "whatshisname". Jimmy Smith could exploit a weak NE secondary but lets not forget who takes the snaps for the Pats, probably the greatest clutch QB since Elway and Montana, and yes ladies and gentlemen.........He is a MICHIGAN man!!!!! ( about all the Wolverines have to hang their hats on in a very dismal football year   ) The Patriots experience and know how plays out and they win in a relatively easy one................

                      Sunday Jaurary 8th

Carolina Panthers at New York Giants

The Panthers are coming into this game after literally spanking Michael Vick's Falcons 44-11 but looking over there schedule their "quality" wins are pretty limited............still even though Tiki Barber has really carried the Giants this year, NY fans should fear Manning's inexperience and the dreaded Manning "curse"!!!!!! I feel Delhomme and Steve Smith along with the Carolina D carries this day............

                      Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals

Here we have the Bengals coming off their best year in ages with an all pro QB and an all pro Wide receiver as a home team DOG!!!!! That is really a slap in the face!!!!!   I think that although the "Bus" is hitting on all cylinders and that football's version of "Big Ben", (anyone who knows sports knows that the only true "Big Ben" is playing center for the Detroit Pistons) is playing great again that the Bengals will use this as a motivational tool and will bury the terrible towels.........

                      So to summarize

Washington Redskins over Tampa Bay Bucaneers

New England Patriots over Jacksonville Jaguars

Carolina Panthers over New York Giants

                      Cincinnatti Bengals over Pittsburgh Steelers

It's good to King........no matter what the pay

Courage is being scared to death__and saddling up anyway

Billy Jaffe, Radio Voice of the Thrashers:
”I have absolutely No problem with Ohio State. It has a beautiful campus, and for a Junior College it has really great Academics.”

"Gentlemen and ladies, 'Those Who Stay Will Be Champions' is for you too. It's for every Michigan fan that's out there. When the going gets tough, you don't cut and run. It's not the Michigan way. If I heard it once from the old man, I heard it a thousand times -- when the going gets tough you find out who your real friends are, and that's why we must stay. Because there will be championships, and this staff and these kids will bring those championships here."

Pats - easy. warming up for the colts
Giants - trusting eli will throw fewer than eleven interceptions
Steelers - big ben chimes in at play-off time
