the giants totally sucked, the skins sucked but didn't swallow and it was a major bummer the way palmer got knocked out after one pass -- although at least he'll temporarily be in the record books with the highest qb rating in play-off history, averaging 60+ yards per pass! but all in all, a damn fine football weekend, i'd say!

and for those curious how round two will turn out, it's gonna go something like this:

        seahawks
        pats (put your cash here)
        colts
        bears

        ps
houston's gonna regret not going with vince young in the draft
        ps2
in case i get tied up with work and don't get back here to post, the next w/e winners will be pats and bears. and breaking all records for superbowl victories: the pats.
        sorry mr. manning.

                      Divisional Playoffs

This is where the "Cream" should rise to the top

First game of the day is Washington Redskins at Seattle Seahawks..........Washington riding in on a 6 game winning streak which is very impressive and to win a game like they did last week with only 125 total yards is equally impressive and enough to make chucky very angry!!!! But the Seahawks are 8-0 at home this year, they have the League MVP in the backfield and a very steady QB in Hasselbeck, a major improvement over an overmatched Chris Simms, who may go down in Longhorn history as that QB "BEFORE" Vince!!!! Also a fact that is continually overlooked by a lot of people in Hasselbeck has a healthy Darrin Jackson back at wide receiver. Seattle in a walk..........

New England Patriots at Denver Broncos

My man Tom Brady going against a very underrated Denver Bronco team with a staunch defense "BUT" (BIG BUTT HERE) they still have to play Jake Plummer at QB........Don't get me wrong here Plummer had a very decent year and he has some weapons with Rod Smith and a stable of running backs. Can Brady perform some more of his playoff MAGIC?? 11-0 as a starter in the playoffs will place him as "THE" elite QB in NFL playoff history and I sincerely hope he does it!!!! and even though I think this could be the end I can't go against him. I think entirely too many people are automatically penciling in a NE-Indy AFC championship again and that is going to really rile up the Broncs but Brady pulls another magic trick out of his helmet.........NE in the closing seconds on a Vinaterri FG........

                      Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts

The tragedy of Dungy's son's suicide was a major blow to this team and I think it affected them much more then what people realize. Tony Dungy has been a class act his entire life and is easily the most underrated coach in the NFL, and now he has the most cerebal QB this league has ever seen and a decent defense for the first time since he hit Indy. Pittsburgh has the bad taste of a very embarrassing spanking earlier this year by the Colts that will have some effect on this game. Plus this could be the swan song for the Bus. Big Ben has looked extremely good the last couple of weeks but he's no Peyton and as tough as Hines Ward is he's pretty much the extent of the Steeler's deep threat whereas Manning can choose from Stokley, Harrison or Dallas Clark. Besides I firmly beleive this would be the Bengals playing in this game if not for a tough break. It won't be as bad as earlier in the year but Indy will pull away in the second half and make that date in the AFC Championship game.

                      Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears

Da' Bears have been doing it with an incredible "D" this year and an so-so offense very similar to the Ravens a few years back with Brian Urlacher playing the role of Ray Lewis (without the thug personna). Meanwhile the Panthers are looking to return to the promised land that they were in just two years ago. Dehaun Foster and Steven Smith are both healthy and Jake is a very good QB. Keep in mind that Rex Grossman has only played in one plus games this year and if Julius Peppers can pressure him enough and the rest of the "D" can contain Thomas Jones this game could end up a rout, although I think the Bears defense will prevent that. Still I think the Panthers win this easier then people think.

                      OK To Summarize:

                      Seattle Seahawks over Washington Redskins

New England Patriots over Denver Broncos

                      Indianapolis Colts over Pittsburgh Steelers

                      Carolina Panthers over Chicago Bears

It's good to King........no matter what the pay

Courage is being scared to death__and saddling up anyway

Billy Jaffe, Radio Voice of the Thrashers:
”I have absolutely No problem with Ohio State. It has a beautiful campus, and for a Junior College it has really great Academics.”

"Gentlemen and ladies, 'Those Who Stay Will Be Champions' is for you too. It's for every Michigan fan that's out there. When the going gets tough, you don't cut and run. It's not the Michigan way. If I heard it once from the old man, I heard it a thousand times -- when the going gets tough you find out who your real friends are, and that's why we must stay. Because there will be championships, and this staff and these kids will bring those championships here."

If you missed round 1, you can still play. Round 1 was only worth 4 points (1 per game) but all the rest are worth 8 (2 per game in div playoffs, 4 per game in the conference championship, and 8 for the Super Bowl).

So u can still win even if you missed last week. Deadline is beofre the first game begins which I think is 4:30 PM, Saturday, New York time.
