Here's a novel concept, how about a coach that is from the country of the team he is going to coach. Give me a hard nosed limey coach any day of the week. Enough of these Casper Milquetoasts types that England has been burdened with. Sam Allardyce gets my vote. He is just what that bunch of underachievers needs at this point. Kick ass, take no prisoners attitude is his forte.

England to win the world cup in Germany?
Please guys, stop taking jaba while in Thailand, it really messes up ones brain.
England will get kicked out in the first knock-out round, if they even make it there, by Germany through (you can guess it) penalty kicks!

Anyway i think Peter Taylor (under21 manager)is the best bet and next vote goes to Martin O Neil, who will almost certainly take the job if his wife recovers from illness.

Hello allstar!
No, I am actually German, but I like England. Whenever I am in Thailand, I get along much better with the English, than with the Germans.
My post was not so serious.
But seriously now, I think it's a pity, that Germany will play already in the first knock out round against a team from the England group, so it might be England, Sweden or Paraguay (sorry, but I don't see Trinidad/Tobago making it to the next round).
I think it would be sad for the tournament to see either England or Germany not making it to the quarter finals.
Well, good luck to both teams!

Hello!
I don't know why that seems to be a common thing, can only speak for myself here. The Germans I have often met in Thailand were real idiots and not good company at all (once I almost got into a fight with two nasty Germans, late at night in the Thermae coffee shop, fortunately I managed to get out of the situation peacefully). To be fair, some English are also real blockheads (especially the former Greek/Spanish package tour idiots, who are staight as hell and call a you "gay", when you admit, that you are into ladyboys) but in my opinion the English are usually more polite and have definitely a better sense of humor than the Hermans. I have met some really nice English men in Bangkok, even in ladyboy bars and with some I have stayed in contact. Since I am surrounded with Germans almost all year round in Germany, I rather socialise with some English men, while in Thailand, which is usually much more fun.
