What internet connection do you have?

I think many of forum members have slow internet connections. Many voted for small pictures, files are to big and so on.
Personally I would like the video clips to be in dvd or s-vcd quality. Pictures in max camera size, with high jpg quality.
Picture gallery zipped.

So how is your internet connection?

I have broadband provided by an American cable TV company. Have no idea of the speed. Seems quickbut not quite as quick as at work.

For us poor guys who live in countries that use a proxy to censor the net, our access is slow even if we have broadband. It is even worse for the guys who have to use dial up. We have to use an anonymous proxy to access the site and that really makes things slow.

I think that pics that are in *.jpg format are compressed a lot already and zipping them will not reduce the file size very much. It would be nice to have 2 sets of pics, one high quality for people with real broad band access and lower quality for those with narrow band, same for the videos - but I think that could mean an increase in membership fees, since the content would need to be doubled.
