Who was in los in 1986?

Does anyone know what ladyboys looked like 20 years ago? Were they a lot less convincing? Were they all posties? Were there more of them or less of them? Did they do top/bottom? Were they a lot more discreet? Does anyone have any photos they can scan in?

back in 86 i barely had pubic hair, but i found a pic of pattaya taken in 1969 on another board. not many signs of this would be the sex capitol of the world a few years later

I was in BKK in 1983 in my first visit and didn't really see any LB, or at least didn't notice any.
I saw my first LBs two years earlier in Rio, and that was in 1981.
My first close encounter with a LB was in 1988 in Kuala Lumpur and I should say that wasn't much different from what would be today. It was more a femboy type than a real LB.
Perhaps just the dresses she was wearing, but since fashion repeats itself, she was somehow dressed as it will be today or next year at most. Fashion is going back to the 80's for both men and women!

My first experience was in 1987 (not knowingly) and yes I have got some pic's so shall scan them in once I find them. I'll tell you what, the LB's were absolute crackers; all post op's and back in those days Lady Boy Central Station was the Marine Disco in Pattaya.

I remember in 1990 the ladyboy pick place in Patpong was the old Thai boxing ring which has long since gone.

Also in Pattaya a good pick up place was the Honey Bar near  Soi8 and them Lbs were really cute and passable. Also the Simon caberet was in swing and that had some cuties, some who are still around today.

The Marine bar in them days was a real buzz and the focal point of the whole town. Walking Street is more touristy now.

My first visit was in 1979 or 1980, my memory is a little misty of what precise year it was, but there were definitely LB's around as I was doing the rounds at about 70% GG & 30% LB. There were some lovely ones about, & as i recal Limaqua80 bar next to the Soi Diamond hotel was as good a place as any to get them. The bars in the centre were not as large or as modern as they are now, & Baby a Go Go were amoungst the main & best go go's around. I even remember the guy who owned / set them up he used to ride around on a harley or harley copy & was the main man in town, or thought he was! Simon cabaret was opposite Toni's & Marine, above Jennys Bar & in those days LB's were allowed in no problem, in fact it was a good place to pick up your partener for the night. walking street was not actually walking street in tho's days as traffic was allowed thru' 24 / 7.

Its an interesting picture of Pattaya, from 1969, but it would have been an R & R town then for American servicemen coming out of Vietnam, it looks nothing like some of the storys i have heard about the place from that era.

I do have some pictures from that time, but finding them & getting them sorted to post might prove difficult, but I will see what I can do. I used to live in Berlin 85-87 & there was a group of LB's i used to hang out with a bit & I took them around Berlin occassionally, I even have a photo or two from that time.

TC, I think that was called the "Bluesky Bar". I remember one of my early trips to Thailand I went by there and chatted with some of the lbs there. Would have been around 1991 or 92. They used to do a cabaret show between the kickboxing matches.

1984 was my first time in BKK. Patpong was the big thing those days and everything was pretty new to me, so it was like POL mentioned above, the kid in a candy store feeling - which I still have in a way, but the first time is unbeatable. You shag your brains out with everything that moves and I met my first Thai LB, working in a beer bar near Soi Cowboy. Her name was Som, no hormones, naturally fem, long hair and only 19..... ...... *sigh* . For 2 days she didn't let me do anything with her. Only kissing, because she was afraid I could realize she was a LB.... isn't that cute?? I was pretty shy too and I had no idea how to handle that without pissing her off.... so after 2 days I told her I know she's not a real girl.... LOL ....she was puzzled and afraid she'd loose me now. Well...... that' would have been the last thing to be afraid of.... I finally spent the whole week with her. Great memories....

i remember back in 85 or6 i went into caligular a gogo in soi diamond and it had alot of ladyboys. they were all dressed in red bikini's. got a few pics of some of the ladyboys, in those days photography was allowed in the bars . i do remember most of the ladyboys having spectacular bodys and big implant boobs
