Talking about the favorite LB bars at Nana, I thought of using this forum for a bit broader survey on this topic. Should be quite representative...

How would in an ideal world your perfect LB bar in Thailand look like?
What features (dancefloor, stage, cabaret, etc.)?
What kind of music?
What kind of interior?
How should the girls dress?
A certain type of girls or the whole spectrum?
The same aggressive approach as we have it now?
Should there be rooms upstairs - like in a massage parlour - or just a short time round the corner?
Whatever may come to your minds, pls let us know!
I personally absolutely dislike those crappy Nana bars, KC3 or Jennys in Pattaya and mentioned in an earlier thread that I'm 100% convinced that there is a demand for something different in LOS.

Like some coffee cafes. A living room feel to it. Maybe a small outdoor biergarten. A swiming pool and hot tub is a possibilty.

In general, mellow stuff, Brubeck, Steely Dan

Actually some Soi 6 bars come closest to the look though not the atmosphere. Some reclining chairs where you can get a foot massage.

The street clothes they where on their way to work at Nana

Friendly girls with good attitudes. Good English a plus since
it'd be a quieter vbar which encourages converstion. Perhaps some semi pro uni girls could be encouraged to show up.

Managemnet like C&D that puts the customer first. Probably best is a farang-Thai couple to make it work. Management cannot let the girls pressure customers.

I'm also not a big fan of the mind melting / chalkboard scratching techno music played at 4 million decibels. Makes me want to stick a fork in my eye.
Something more like a jazz or blues club, with whatever music, at 1/3 volume. Tables so you can have a conversation, or do some schmoozing. Square ones too so you can put them together for larger groups. Multi level (a few feet, not multi floors) to break it up, give little areas of subtile privacy. Of course a dance floor in the middle, with small runways out between the different areas. A raised catwalk mounted along the the outside wall, raised so the girl can walk around and dance without being bunched up in the center like they're fish in a barrel. Low enough so they can bend over and whisper sweet nothings in your ear. Keep the girls moving, one area to another. Unless they've been "picked." Also you want to keep the customer"s mind busy. Give the impression there's a lot going on. Staring straight ahead at Ob's can get boring real quick. Make them keep moving their heads, like they might miss something.
Attitude I think is 90% (if not more) controlled by management. Put a big sign inside the entrance where people have to notice, yes the girls work for drinks, yes the girls work for barfines, and tips, so pony up you horny fucks or we'll turn them loose on you. Pressure for bar fines, drinks...etc has me lookin for the door and on to C+D. No wonder Nick is always smiling. Not fair though because he has a lot less overhead, brownshirt handouts, etc...Maybe within the different levels, you could have different attitudes. Rooms upstairs? without question. I like the idea of a massage room too. Cash cow. Good for the shy guys among us who feel uncomfortabe to be seen on the street with their flavor of the night. Also there's a lot of guys who short time only. Just spend some baht and keep the place clean.

It should have ST rooms that is pretty much like the rooms you find in Utopia. Nice clean rooms with a big bath tub, and some kinky accesories. The room I had in Utopia had a what I think was a chair similar to what a gynae would use in an examination room, so you can imagine a well hung LB on it with her legs strap up in that angle. Thanks for your input Jack. I think it's worth digging into this subject a bit deeper, as except C&D, the existing sleazy crapholes are way below standard. Although I'm thrilled by thinking of a consultancy job in the "ladyboys entertainment industry", I'd rather evaluate the "do it yourself way", than the missionary convincing of some obviously totally incompetent Thai bar owners.
