Weather is getting nicer in farangland, St Paddy's Day is near
so that means it's time for the ATS MarchMadness pool. Rules aere similar to office pools in which you may have particpated. And even if you can't tell a basketball from a banana, you can still do well by picking higher seeded teams.

To make the administarion easier I'll be using CBS Sportsline to tabulate results. If you want to be in, please post or PM an email address and I'll send you an invite. You can join now, but you won't be able to make picks untill Sunday night and the deadline is Wednesday. Please enter early in case you experience difficulty with the CBS software.

i'm going totally (almost) on emotional attachment with an all-acc blow-out: duke, unc and boston college all the way.
i'd add nc state but they SO sucked against wake in the acc tourney, what's the point?
otherwise, hard to go against uconn to cut down the nets.

It's a pain to sign up with CBS, I should have sent an Excel spreadsheet with drop down boxes to everyone like in my office pool. Lot's of guys I sent invites to had problems registering.

In my office pool. which has a Northeast bias, UCONN is numero uno, Duke nemero duo, and Villanova numero tres.

BC?  Had to go to double overtime in the first game. scary.

Or an easy pool to run is the type done By jody"s bar In Staten Island which has an approx 500K first prize. You pick the winner of the four regions, the final champion, and total points in the final game. If there's interest perhaps we should try that here.

not a bad idea if there are others addicted to american college basketball. there's truly nothing like it, i think, what with the enthusiasm of the pre-professional olympics & the fast pace of a great sport mixed into a MAD tourney setting. i LOVE it.

my 'other' pool always does a back-up 'sweet 16' pool. MUCH easier to run. could even do that openly here like the nfl pool.

16 teams will be set sunday night. then we have 3 days to pick 8, 4, 2 and 1. - or just 4, 2 and 1, like you said. EASZZZZY.. meanwhile, my well-kicked ass needs some ladyboy-only repair. so far it's not quite beam-deep, but a couple more upsets and i'll need nancy and mint to tag-team. just "gotta get me a ticket for an aeroplane..."
