    The two Godfather's are two of my favorites.

    Lots of other good ones here too. Never liked Chinatown though. And although I like Citizen Kane feel it's overated when it gets named as the best film ever.

              Yeah, a lot is mentioned here already:

              I'd like to add the fabulous "Usual Suspects" by Bryan Singer and one of my favorite Chinese movies "Houzhe" by Zhang Yimou and digging back into history let's not forget Fellinis "La Dolce Vita", "From Here To Eternity" by Fred Zinnemann and the unbeatable "Apartment" by Billy Wilder!

              .... just 5 that came to my mind, but I'm sure there are more to come!

                  talking about american beauty. there is another movie quite similar which is much darker and tenfolds better: happiness. dont be fooled by the title.

                  would also like to mention requiem of a dream.

                  im surprised taxidriver hasnt been mentioned yet.
