In the NFL draft today, Houston passed on Reggie Bush so Stogie's Saints grabed him. Perhaps he can turn around the franchise.

Yeah - I love REAL footy...
"Oh ref - he touched me! I'm falllliiiiinng again!"
Spineless ballarinas the lot of them. It's the only sport in the world where they have rules specifically designed to keep the scoring low!
Still the world cup is always fun.
I hope the Saints can do something this year. Hope springs eternal! I've been waiting 20 years now!

(PogueMahone @ Apr. 29 2006,17:04) And the world waits with baited breath while this American travesty referred to as Football continues. Nothing but a bunch of weight challeged individuals acting like gladiators from days of old. No thanks and thank God REAL FOOTBALL begins in forty three days. Go Brazil go.
Watching two teams run around in circles for 3 hours and have a final score of 1-0 describes excruciating freaking boredom to me.............
Great game for insomniacs though.......... saves on sleeping pills............ :coffee:

Well the (S)aint's may have got Reggie Bush....but the Kings got Ron Artest and Bonzie Wells and evened up the series with the Spurs tonight....

Oh, by the way, I do like both football, even with the low scores and flops, and American football...Go Niners........."It's not Gay if you beat them up afterwards." --- Anon

the nba rocks, kahuna.
of course it took me scheduling a return to LOS to get the clippers and the lakers to approach a play-off confrontation and now i can find NOWHERE in thailand to watch it! i posted a plea, but nary a response. i fly to bangkok tonight and would love to be watching a 'hallway series' from staples next week -- since in between ladyboys i have to do SOMEthing!
i searched the web and found espn-asia but they have no nba games currently scheduled. yikes!
ANY suggestions?

Looks as if both the Lakers and the Clips will make it into the second round.
I'll be in BKK next week too, but don't hold much hope the Kings will actually get to the second round.
I couldn't find anything on Thai broadcasts either. Hong Kong Cable is the only asian feed I could find.
The NBA offers courtside live for mobil...the download is free but it would probably cost a fortune to use in BKK.
They also offer free wireless alerts during the games.
Just type in mynba (69622) and input your team's 3 letter code...LAL or LAC...
There must be some bar in BKK that has some sort of super dish that can pick up the games. I'll make that search my second priority when I get there.
Sorry PigDogg that I got off topic...I promise it won't happen again until next time..........."It's not Gay if you beat them up afterwards." --- Anon

Actually, a thread about a New Orleans Saints draft pick can only go so far....sort of like the Saints. I know some people down there who have been suffering since the late 60s with the Saints and for their sake I hope they get things turned around. They have a new coach from Bill Parcell's staff which may be the best move they have made this off season....not sure they needed Reggie as much as they need a QB and some guys on defense....oh, well, hope springs eternal....it really takes 3 to 5 years to really see how one year's draft works out.
Kahuna, your Kings are playing their heart out....it's well known that the two brothers who own them run a 1st class organization. Have a great time in the LOS.

My homeown team that "doesn't" underachieve............like my President Cup winning and then losing to the 8th seeded Oilers in the first round Red Wings just did..........
Well we still have the Pistons and the Tigers don't suck so far this year either
