i have to agree with mai-kee, but the thais are fond of chinese food, i dont like it, water, bamboo and shit - oh, that was vietnamese food, whatever..

i prefer it spicy, can never be too spicy. souther variant of gaeng-som, tasty. lab-gai/plah/moo is ok, but i prefer the isaan variant nam-tok(-moo).
if you want ok lab-gai, they have a food-stall in walking st/soi 15, usually opens at 2pm.

for good thai food check out the food stalls, there a few quite good in soi buako and soi postoffice. if you get up early they have sometimes very good dishes outside the pharmacy walking street/soi p72, but open from 9-11am.
but you really need a motorbike to get around and find your fave spot. also many places around south pattaya rd/sukhumvit. too many places to mention, but dont dick around in the 'fancy' restaurants, the food they serve there is a hybrid to please the farangs..

Same here, I love for instance all those Issaan food stalls that appear only in the middle of the night around Nana, Patpong, Cowboy as maybe 70% of the girls are Issaan. The "Papaya Pok Pok" there is sometimes so spicy that you've problems with breathing.... hahahaha.... I LOVE IT!!!
It's also funny with the girls, as most of the farang can't have spicy food at all (they consider already English mustard as spicy...LOL) and when you're eating their stuff together with them - they love it!!!

But other than that, Crab in Curry Powder at Somboon, Pad Thai With Shrimp, Duck in Red Curry, Mangosteens, Durian and of course the Grasshoppers in February when they are full of eggs.

It does smell like shit, no arguements there. But it actually tastes good (to me) if fresh, anything over an hour old is too old.

I know that makes me one of the few Farang who like it, but I do.
