If it's goals you came to see tonight then you were in the right ball park. If it was football you came for then you should have turned off the TV and caught up on some domestic chores!

An ordinary looking German side manhandled the pathetic Costa ricans who should have all been sent off for bringing the game into disrepute - such was the substandard performance of this team!

How they scored two goals against Germany is anyones guess, but don't ask the linesman because he wasn't wearing his contact lenses tonight!

Having said that the goals scored by both teams were pretty good!

As long as I keep watching Germany in worldcup tournaments now, they usually start slow and keep getting better, the longer they survive in the tournament. Next on the menue is Poland!

Not really a tough decision - only when Germany plays (and maybe England for the fun of it), I'm definetely off duty for a fiew hours.
But doesn't Didi's Bar offer an opportunity too to watch a game while keeping the pillow for the night in reach?

After today's debacle Germany need a new goalkeeper (where's oliver Kaan when you need him) and an entirely new defence, if they think they can get past the quarters!!

Relax - we won by a two goal margin, which should be good enough for an opener.There's a lot of time til the Quarters, and Germanyusually gets stronger with every game played in a tournament like that.

As for Kahn - I would give Lehman anothert chance. He has proven often enough for Arsenal, that he's a good one. If that doesn't work, Kahn will always be ready to substitute.

Let's wait and see, how England is doing against Paraguay tomorrow.

Looking at the replay the Costa Rican goals were clearly on side.

Germany didnt impress me. Early days yet though.
