Music For The Vids?

Hi,

Here's a radical idea, most of the vids seem to have no music, just the ambient noises. Wouldn't you prefer listening to music whilst you watched, etc.?

How about Ravel's 'Bolero' as a possible suggestion? It starts off soft and slow but, as the mood changes, it becomes louder and faster, it even has a climatic finish.

If you were making these vids, what music would you like to hear playing in the background?

I am making these video's and well i know some other website's have music in the background , but i wonder about copyright infringements etc ,, when using such music .

I feel like im taking a risk putting in an obscure remix of a song for only 1 minute during the preview clips ,, with actual full blown clips being between 9 and 19 minutes ( for some of the hardcore video ) i would need anywhere between 2 and 6 bits of music to fill the clips . With all the talk now about IP i feel this might lead to some form of litiagation eventually .

Or am i being too paranoid ??

I prefer it with just the ambient sounds, that way you can hear all the moans and groans. You can almost image yourself in the room.
When there is music over the top it becomes to sterile.

Yes it sure is and they will go after a site if they can for the rights violation.

Hi all,

There are some very sensible suggestions amongst those answers above.

An alternative idea may to become registered with the Performing Rights Society (PRS). I'm not sure exactly how PRS works in Thailand but it may be a worthwhile exercise investigating the possibilities.

I think that for an annual fee you may have unlimited use of any piece of recorded music or something of the sort?
