Wow, what sportsmanship I wonder if the ref was related to Woody Hayes?
(Hayes was a football coach who became enraged when an opposing player intercepted his Qb's pass. He ran out from the sidelines and slugged the player as he tried to run down field) He was fun to watch, but he could be volatile.... Kind of like your average ladyboy

Apart from the last 10 minutes when the European team started playing with some urgency the Aussies (despite the score line) had the game well under control.

Top marks for passing, ball control and patience. It helped that the English ref obviously likes Fosters!

Next game against Italy!

I've been wrong all along about the Antipodean game... I hope I'm wrong again when I predict they'll finally be exposed for what they are against giants Italy.

Good comments mate. The Aussies are fighting above there weight. We are a chance against Italy. We played ok but there is room for improvement and we will need to be at our very best but hey we are there now and we are a real chance.

I noted last night that the Mexico team had 26 matches in the build up to the world cup. England had 9 in the same time frame .

The clubs are far to powerfull but it wont change. Two words that comes to mind when looking at the Premier League and the FA are greed and stupidity. The FA are building a giant stadium called Wembley while at the same time schools are selling there football pitches to build houses .

Every time i see Brian Barwick in his blazer i want to throw up. If England lose today i hope he chokes on the lemon pips in his gin and tonic. he should be taken to Munich and fed to the drunken hordes.
