kina wanted to know if they were renowned for anything. i.e the rust, a certain part always breaking.. i know theres always a story. I watched TOP GEAR a while back it was the series where they were all given £1000 and they had to buy a porsche with that ££££ and that money alone if they had money left they could do stuff to it, they then had to drive it to some far place and sell it...lol Only one of the porsches survived without some messsed up shit happening to it on the motorway... I wana be that 1 outa 3(dummy_plug @ Jun. 16 2006,18:36)You're a little vague Beefy - what is it you want to know about them? Value? Performance? Reliability? Well...depends on what you want the Porsche for. A lot of people mistake driving fast with driving excitement. Not necessarily true. My dad has owned 4 Porsches, with his latest iteration being a 2006 Porsche Cayman S. To be honest, its fast as fuck, but I had a better time driving my friend's modded 2006 Mazda Miata (MX-5 in the USA).
If you want a great driving experience, there are several older model cars that can fit the bill - though the may not have the speed or catchet (is this important for an older car) as a Porsche.

If you get a hell of a deal, actually, it's great - you can't complain if you got something nobody else would get. I got a car for 30% of blue book from a friend - damn thing was in better shape than if I'd owned it. He's probably sorrier he sold it.(grunyen @ Jun. 16 2006,09:08) I know never to buy a car from a friend.
If you buy it at the same price as anyone else - yeah, then it's definitely a bad idea, because any flaws will impinge on the relationship.
POLRetired the top 12. Need a new dirty dozen.
Update: The new list is coming together: Nong Poy, Anita, Nok, Gif, Liisa Winkler, Kay, Nina Poon. Is it possible to find 5 more? Until then, GGs: Jessica Alba, Yuko Ogura, Zhang Ziyi, Maggie Q, and Gong Li.Comment

Until the early nineties, they were famous for persistent, unfixable electrical problems in particular. Don't ask me how I know this.
