I have been waiting ages for the new Superman movie and it was great. But watching it in Thailand was a less than enjoyable experience as the distributers plastered "TH57" in massive letters jumping about the screen every few minutes.
Instead of being able to concentrate on the story line I ended up being distracted by wondering when the next interferance would occur and how!
Sometimes the 'TH57' would be flashing in orange and drifting from the top to the bottom of the screen and other times big white letters would appear out of nowhere!
This continued throughout the movie and seemed overkill when just one second would have been enough to establish the origin of a pirate copy.
A better answer would be to have a small bar code for each movie theatre permanently etched somewhere on the screen , maybe in a frame at the bottom.
Oh well - This is Thailand! Fuck the consumer.
