A Connect 4 trip report!

..I remembered reading this blog after reading bigMick's trip report & how he can confuse these LB Connect 4 players; thought u might enjoy reading it..  

a bloggers Connect 4 experience..

..unfortunately this story ends too soon just as it was getting interesting; i.e. how did his game with PEN end?

..anyone else have an interesting "U vs. LB CONNECT 4" story to relate here?

i beat the bargirls, 19 out of 20, unless i am totally wasted. the best i have ever played was a german guy in soi diamond. he could tell after 3 moves where he was going to win. never seen anything like it.

there are a few simple tricks/moves that will get you far in this game, and most of the bargirls use the same formula. so if you learn how to beat one, you will beat the rest.

Connect 4 is an asymetrical game in that the the strategy for the first player is different than that of the second player. It's be helpful to me, if Green always moved first just like in chess where White always move first. When I'm drinking I forget if I moved first which hurts my game.

Beyond cheapo tactics, player 1's strategy revolves around making things happen on odd rows and Player 2's strategy involves making things happen on even rows.



A friend of a friend is the inventor of Connect 4 and he was very pleased to find out that the game is popular with the bargirls of Thailand.
