Hi,

As you may have gathered I'm very new to this Forum and, by reading through many threads, I'm gradually becoming familiar with some of the terms that the other members use.

It may be a useful idea if those of you who are more knowledgeable than I could explain what the terms and abbreviations constantly used actually mean.

It would not only help me but all of those newer members who are struggling to understand the 'in' language you guys (and gals?) use.

If you look on this as encouragement to sample the joys of the diverse pleasures of Thailand etc. then it won't seem to be such an onerous task.

Hello Spedius,

I'm a newbie also...although I just made my first trip to Thai.

My experience is that you have to be a little more specific.  If you're asking what ST, LT, bar fines, GG, preop, postop, etc. mean.  Just ask in the thread and the vets will be more than happy to offer an explanation.

They even told me what bubbles and squeak was...but being a Brit you likely already know...

Here are some of the items that I think I just might understand?

ST = Short Time (1-2 hours)
LT = Long Time (All night etc.)
bar fines = Paid to the mama-san in lieu of drinks paid for by the punters at the prompting of the Ladyboy etc. (ie. potential earnings)
GG = Geisha Girls? Go Go Girls? Girls not Ladyboys?
preop = Ladyboys before any surgery but on medication/ hormone treatment?
postop = Ladyboys after surgery
Femboys = femine looking boys ie long hair, make-up, girls clothes, but not on medication?
Katoey = Transvestites?
BKK = Bangkok
PI = Phillipine Islands
smoking = cock sucking
carpet = pussy hair

If any of these definitions are wrong perhaps you would be kind enough to correct any mistakes that I may have made?

If there are any others that you can add they would be appreciated.
