Who's in UK going to BKK soon?

Hi there....after a favour.... anyone flying to BKK soon and will be in the Sukhumvit road area?.... I need to get a phone to my GG GF and dont trust the post.... Just thought i would ask.....

The post Service is Ok actually to Thailand, it can take 14 days though on the standard UK air mail servie instead of the promised 5 days.The problem is that most people panic after 5 days and assume the worst.


I know its counter intuitive but you over insure the phone and hope that it does in fact get lost. The you can take a free Holiday due on the payout for your missing Diamond studded Nokia.

No... seriously just insure it... it costs 50p.....

TC, you have had better luck than me! I have had a couple of parcels disappear that were sent via regular post.

I have now started registering any parcels I send to LOS. This tracks it, plus insures it. I think your suggestion to strictly insure it is a good alternative to registration.

For the insurance though, I think you may need a receipt to make a claim if the parcel is "diverted".

I've also been warned by several people in LOS not to send big-ticket items via post. I guess its just a hassle that even if you insure things, to go back and get the money from the insurer. Hope you can find someone to help you out!

use DHL, or Fed-Ex. But with rates and custom duty - wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a phone here ?

Booked to come on 29 Dec, but is bringin a cell phone a poor excuse for travel to Sukhumvit road? lol cant wait to return, GG knows my passion for LB's and is willing to share, looking forward to being back in LOS.....WOW

I have sent a couple of mobile phones( )
along with other things with the Post office to Ubon Ratchathani and had no problems at all.
They arrived just over a week later
