Where would a guy get a Budweiser around the Sukumvit or Patpong areas? Don't really care for Heineken and Tiger beer kicks my ass. Seems like places have the Budweiser signs everywhere but don't serve it.

The bars won't stock Budweiser. I suppose they need an import license from Czech Republic!
Actually, the Americans also make a copy of this beer, but as most people will tell you it's revolting.
I was just being cheeky! (I can't spell 'facaecious!') As with most countries the US version is probably against the Intellectual Property Rights laws.
Of course the good old country, (England) sided with the Americans in the courts on this one and in the UK you can buy both versions.
In most countries, however, the beer American version of the beer (if you can call it that) is sold under a different name or not sold at all.

Is here someone seriously asking for Bud? The Yankee Bud??? Maybe even Bud light????Bloody horse piss???!!! Damn it, Heineken is already undrinkable, but BUD?
Thailand is one lucky country with really good local beer - if it's beer what you're looking for?! Chang or Singha draft is perfect. Even Kloster is kinda ok.
If anyone has ever tasted the Czech Budweiser (which has fortunately except the name NOTHING in common with the yankee piss!) preferably in Czech Rep. or Austria - it has a lot to do how you draft it, as it should have very little gas, almost alelike - then he really knows how real beer should taste!

Ok. Ok.
No one from Holland drinks Heineken. No Aussie that I have met drinks Fosters. No self respecting Mexican drinks Corona if he can get Tecati or Dos Euqis. But Americans do drink Bud. Hell if thats the worst thing we have to apologize for I'll appologize for us all. They did have a nice house pilsner at the Londoner and I do kind of like that Leo beer but they never seem to have it at bars & such. Did drink Carlsberg but like it was said it went away. Not familiar with Chang maybe will try it next time.

But to answer your initial question, check this out:
http://www.bangkokbob.net/beer.htm
... not entirely true is what Bob says about Singha on his site. Chang is actually by far the largest (and the best!) beer brand in Thailand.
... still no Bud though... wonder why...
But you should also take some time to check out the micro breweries. Some produce excellent stuff, for instance Tawandaeng in Bangkok.

You'll have to sample some Boag's and Cascade while your in Tas Rob not bad drops, although there's only 2 types of beer - good beer and better beer. Cascade make a Draught beer which is only available in Tas.I don't get it, is this a magic show?
